The Waterloo Vikings captured their fourth straight MVAC win against Jackson Milton on Monday night. The Vikings jumped out to an early lead and would eventually go up by a score of ten to zero. The Blue Jays would not go quietly as they scored eight runs in the top of the fifth inning and made it a close ballgame. The Vikings would answer and plated one run in the fifth inning and four in the sixth inning and pushed the lead back to seven runs. The final scored was Waterloo 15, Jackson Milton 8. The Vikings offense was led by Freshman Devon Curtiss who had two hits, three runs and three RBI’s. Curtiss’ key hit was a three RBI double in the bottom of the sixth inning. Luke Simons, Gavin English, Matthew Deangelis, and Trey Huth all had two hits on the night. The Vikings move to (6-6) overall and (4-4) in the MVAC. Waterloo will be back in action, Tuesday, in a rematch against Jackson Milton.
